Exclusive Interview with John Catlin
John turned pro in 2013 after winning the Arizona Intercollegiate and was named UNM Student-Athlete of the year. He then played on the McKenzy Tour and decided to fly east & earned his Asian Tour card via Q-School in 2015. Having full status on the Asian Tour via a third place finish on the 2017 ADT Order of Merit. Building off this momentum in 2018, John won 3 times on the Asian Tour—which earned him Asian Tour Player’s Player of Year honors. By finishing 6th on the AT Order of Merit, John secured status on the European Tour for the 2019 season. Because of his success and world golf ranking, he also earned sponsor exemptions to three 2019 PGA tour events (the Desert Classic, Waste Management Phoenix Open, and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am) while also Monday qualifying for the John Deere Classic. John wrapped up the 2019 season with a win at the Thailand Open, his fourth victory on the Asian Tour. Now he’s on a charge on the European Tour and playing specific events in Asia & the U.S.
